Open VPN access

Ubuntu 12.04 (GNOME)

  1. install network-manager-openvpn-gnome
  2. Go to Network ManagerVPN ConnectionsConfigure VPNAdd
  3. type : OpenVPNCreate
  4. Name : anything (e.g. KOIVPN)
  5. GateWay : 149.156.109.66
  6. Type : Certificates TLS
  7. User certificate : username.crt , CA Certificate : ca.crt , Private key file: username.key
  8. Private key pass-phrase : yours password
  9. Advanced → Gateway port : 22 , LZO Compresion, TCP Connection
  10. Save

Ubuntu 11.10 (KDE)

  1. install network-manager-openvpn
  2. go to Network Manager (in system tray)→ Manage Connections, choose tab VPNAdd
  3. type yours custom Connection name, in tab OpenVPN choose tab Required Settings
  4. GateWay: 149.156.109.66
  5. Connection type: X.509 Certificates
  6. CA file: ca.crt, Certificate: username.crt, Key: username.key
  7. Key password: yours password
  8. go to tab Optional Settings
  9. Gateway Port: 22
  10. select Use LZO compression, Use TCP connection
  11. OK, OK, open Network Manager once again and click Yours custom connection name in Connections
